Axon Moore are working with a growing business based in Tameside to recruit a Finance Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established company who are currently at around £12m t/o with ambition to grow. They operate globally and have another overseas subsidiary.
This role will look after the general day-to-day finance administration and monthly accounting. You will be responsible for the monthly management accounts, working closely with the business owner and senior management.
Salary and benefits:
Salary - £40,000 - £50,000 DOE, hybrid working 1-2 days in the office, pension, free parking. Other benefits are available on request.

Responsibilities include:
- Production of the monthly management accounts pack for review by the MD.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensuring the sales and purchase ledger invoices are processed correctly and payments are received and made in a timely manner.
- VAT returns, paying close attention to overseas VAT payments made/VAT to claim back.
- Bank reconciliations in multiple currencies and cash-flow management
- Journals, accruals and prepayments monthly.
- Support with process improvements, making suggestions where possible and encouraging change.
- Daily and weekly sales updates.
- Support the MD with any financial queries and administration.
- Any ad-hoc work and project work as required
- Previous experience in a Finance Manager role.
- Qualified By Experience or full/partial ACCA/CIMA qualification.
- Experience with Oracle Netsuite would be beneficial.
- Intermediate Excel skills (VLookup/Pivot tables) are essential.
- Happy to get stuck in, in a fast paced role and manage a small team.
- Experience with process improvement and change management.
- Good commercial awareness with good stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise work and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate accuracy and pay attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills – approachable and down to earth with good communication skills.
