Finance Director | £90,000 - £100,000 | Preston | Manufacturing | Entrepreneurial Business
Axon Moore is representing an Entrepreneur in Preston as they seek to appoint a Finance Director who can partner with them as they expand their business. This role will span finance, commercial, operations and IT, and will be supported by a strong team of ambitious departmental managers underneath who are unified in their passion to drive the business forwards.
The business is a traditional Lancashire-based manufacturer but they're transitioning in their journey as they look to the future. They're making a significant investment to digitalise the business, and exploring new ways to market including D2C. They're an innovative and commercial business and they're at a point where they have several successful products, but now need better MI and processes in place in order to advise them on which direction to take the business.
With this in mind they are looking for:
- Someone with proven leadership skills (managing teams, cross-departmental relationships, experience at board level)
- Strong technical skills and willingness to still be involved in the day to day running of finance (supported by an ambitious FC)
- Experience of working at a strategic level and the ability to develop systems to create better MI
- Open minded to a exceptional 1st time FD or an experienced candidate who has previous successes to lean on
- A personable and enthusiastic FD who can energise those around them and be a catalyst to change
- Manufacturing experience is preferrable but not essential
