The Company

Axon Moore  are delighted to be working in collaboration with a not for profit client which makes a real difference to the residents in their area. They are looking for an experienced Finance and Administration Officer to join their team on a part time basis.

Reporting into a supportive and engaging Leadership team, the role will be hands on and varied. You will be the organisations go to finance person, there is a genuine opportunity for you to develop processes and systems.


The role will be for around 18 hours a week plus six evening meetings a year (there is some flexibility as to when these can be worked)


As the only finance person in the organisation on a day to day basis, the role requires solid all round experience in a varied role. You will have the support of a Finance Director who is an executive on the board.


The Job
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including income and expenditure
  • Ensure all month end deadlines are met
  • Journals, accruals and prepayments
  • Income allocations
  • Raise bank payments as required
  • VAT
  • Preparing payroll information
  • Sales ledger
  • Purchase Ledger
  • Working with the Exec Finance Director on ad hoc projects
  • Track donor and grant management
  • General administration support for Finance
  • Prepare agenda’s for the board and taking minutes if required at meetings
  • Attending annual budget meetings and financial meetings
  • Compliance and record management
  • Help prepare the charity’s annual budget and forecasts.
  • Provide regular updates to Head of Operations about budget variances and financial performance.

  • AAT or QBE
  • Any experience of working within the charitable or not for profit sector would be of  interest
