Axon Moore have exclusively partnered with a growing business, based in Wigan, in their search for an experienced and personable Credit Controller to take the lead with all things credit control in an end-to-end role.

Given that the customer-base is also predominantly owner-managed SMEs, this role is well suited to personable and chatty Credit Controller able to build long-lasting relationships and effectively chase debt over the phone and also via email.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Actively pursue overdue debt whilst maintaining positive relationships with customers
- Resolve discrepancies and disputes in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and payment status
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues and improve payment processes
- Utilise automated debt chasing and work through daily tasks
- Analyse credit data and financial statements to assess creditworthiness of new and existing customers
- Review and update credit limits based on customer payment history and creditworthiness
- Previous experience of working as a Credit Controller
- Able to build good working relationships
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good organisational and time-keeping skills
- High attention to detail and able to take ownership of their role
- Good IT and MS Excel skills
- Able to remain calm and professional when dealing with difficult situations
