Job description

The Company

Axon Moore is exclusively partnering with a leading logistics business as they look to hire a high calibre Chief Commercial Officer. As the CCO you will be responsible for strategic delivery of the business plan with specific focus on revenue and profitability across all business. You will be working closely with the group MD, taking an active role in M&A, and ownership of key strategic projects associated to org development, growth, brand and product.

Salary: £200,000 - £300,000 UK equivalent salary + bonus + equity
Location: Middle East

Responsibilities will include:
  • Developing and executing the company’s commercial strategy, by identifying market opportunities, defining target markets, and creating plans to maximize revenue and market share.
  • Support development of each BU strategies and implementation plans as part of an overall consolidated set of targets
  • Works closely with Strategy office, and MD on execution of annual and 5 year business plans
  • Ability to take ownership of key areas of the business as required associated to rapid development, M&A and transformation
  • Supporting sales functions in each BU. This includes developing sales and marketing plans, setting targets and objectives, monitoring performance, and implementing effective sales and marketing strategies.
  • Conduct regular business reviews and analyze sales performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement in commercial processes and strategies.

  • Defining sales objectives and driving the team to achieve targets
  • Leading business development initiatives, seeking new partnerships, collaborations, and opportunities for growth. Identify potential markets, evaluate expansion options, and negotiate strategic alliances or acquisitions to drive business growth.
  • Support global business development across all BU products and services
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the business products, services, and value propositions.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities via strategic customer planning and relationship development that yields growth across all products
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with strategic customers. Work with the sales team to ensure customer satisfaction, resolve issues, and identify opportunities for cross-selling or upselling.
  • Lead negotiations on major clients and global accounts
  • Overseeing pricing strategies, ensuring optimal pricing for products or services to maximise revenue and maintain competitiveness in the market. Analyse market trends, conduct pricing research, and monitor pricing effectiveness.
  • Lead profitability management across all BUs including annual pricing strategies
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify potential threats and opportunities.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends to inform decision-making and strategy development.
  • Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and operations, to ensure alignment and support for BU commercial initiatives.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to Board on commercial activities, progress, and outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including shareholders, customers, suppliers, government agencies, and industry associations.
