Accounts Payable Assistant

Axon Moore are delighted to be recruiting for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join one of the North West’s fastest growing, highly acquisitive businesses, based in Warrington. 

Appointed on a permanent basis, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and friendly team. Reporting to their impressive, high calibre, supportive and friendly Finance Manager your duties will include: 

Overheads Accounts Payable

• Processing invoices to purchase ledger.
• Liaise with suppliers for any payment related queries.
• Maintain supplier bank details information, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
• Process new supplier requests.
• Point of contact for both internal and external payments queries.
• Supplier statement reconciliations.
• Creditors reporting.

Payments

• Preparation of supplier payment runs.
• Making ad hoc payments and writing cheques.
• Point of contact for both internal and external payments queries.
• Coding and posting of payments leaving the bank.
• Process and maintain Direct Debit mandates.

Wider Team

• CAPEX administration.
• Input to weekly and monthly reporting as appropriate.
• Support the Finance Manager with ad hoc projects.
• Filing of bank statements and other paperwork.
• Support with bank reconciliations as needed.

To be considered for this excellent opportunity, you will ideally have at least 2 years Accounts Payable experience and be a team player, along with excellent customer service and communication skills. 

This outstanding opportunity is offering a competitive salary of up to £28,000 DOE, plus other excellent benefits including an annual bonus, 25 days holiday (excluding bank holidays), plus more. The role will be office based Monday – Friday.
