Axon Moore are delighted to be working with an well-established logistics company who are looking to add a Management Accountant to their team. Reporting into the Senior FBP, this role will provide a breadth of exposure and the opportunity to gain lots of experience through exposure in a fast paced and exciting company. You will be involved in the preparation of monthly management accounts alongside getting exposure to departmental and wider business projects.

Responsibilities include:
- Develop, prepare and produce management accounts and weekly transport/warehouse reports for each business, which are accurate and fit for purpose;
- Continually review, and implement improved financial control procedures, systems and processes within each Accounts Department to ensure an effective and efficient service is being delivered;
- Provide timely and accurate information / reports to enable the Senior Management Team and departments to make informed strategic and operational decisions, highlighting any areas of concern;
- Assist in the annual statutory audit to certify that all processes, procedures and legislative requirements are being adhered to;
- Assist with formulating budgets and forecasts to meet each business’s and group financial and strategic targets;
- Lead on the completion of all year-end procedures in accordance with legislative requirements and group processes;
- Provide advice and analysis on operational efficiencies, potential projects and new contracts to ensure they are cost effective and within budget;
- Weekly cashflow forecasting and highlighting any risks
- Develop and ensure production of Warehouse efficiency, labour utilisation and other sector KPIs, to help drive forward the business and support operations overall performance.
- Provide site operations and management with financial information, then form part of the management team making considered and structure decision about ongoing and future operations.
- Have a regular site presence at operations covered by the role, building relationships and giving any required financial advice and support.
- Part-qualified (ACCA /ACA/ CIMA) with experience in a Management Accountant role.
- Experience with Excel to intermediate level is essential and experience with Sage 200 would be beneficial
- Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail and accuracy in all outputs.
