Assistant Management Accountant | £30,000 - £33,000 + Study Support | Bolton + Hybrid | PE-backed business | Progressive role

This is a highly sought-after role which is well suited to ambitious aspiring chartered accountant seeking broad exposure across management accounts, KPI reporting, cashflow forecasting and much more.
This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively within the finance team.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assisting with month-end, including preparing and posting journals, variance analysis and generating management accounts
- Analysing costs and expenses and identifying areas for cost control and efficiency improvements
- Assisting with forecasting and budget preparation
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparing and presenting management reports on key financial metrics
- Assisting with monthly cost of sales reporting and helping to identify improvements and areas for investigation
- Creating and implementing analytical tools and reports, variances, trends and opportunity for improvement to add value for the wider business
- Internal and external audits
- Liaising with all departments and assisting in preparing management reporting
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulations and internal policies
- Providing financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Part-Qualified AAT or ACCA/CIMA
- Prior exposure to month-ends
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good organisational and time-keeping skills
- High attention to detail and able to take ownership of their role
- Good IT and MS Excel skills
- Study support towards ACCA/CIMA
