Axon Moore have partnered with a well-established and rapidly growing business as they recruit for an experienced Transactional Finance Manager to lead their specialist team. This role provides the successful candidate an opportunity to play a pivotal role within its finance department, overseeing all aspects of transactional finance operations and assuming responsibility for ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of financial processes, managing a team of dedicated professionals and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

This role provides the successful candidate an opportunity to play a pivotal role within its finance department, overseeing all aspects of transactional finance operations and assuming responsibility for ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of financial processes, managing a team of dedicated professionals and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Lead and manage a team of finance professionals responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Embed a strong focus on service excellence and continuous improvement for all of the services delivered by the Transactional team
- Maintain close relationships with customers/stakeholders, responding to their needs and resolving any issues
- Oversee the daily financial transactions and ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations
- Weekly reporting to Senior Management on the week's activities and issues
- Supervise the Sales & Purchase Ledger, ensuring timely and accurate raising and posting of invoices, reconciliations to the general ledger, investigating and correcting any unreconciled items
- Monitor bank accounts to ensure appropriate level of cash held in each account
- Prepare and review financial reports, budgets, and forecasts, providing insights to support strategic decision-making
- Monitor cash flow and working capital to optimise financial resources
- Develop and deliver on projects to integrate new acquisitions
- Initiate projects to improve efficiency and automation
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard financial assets and mitigate risks
- AAT qualified (desired)
- Self-motivated and driven
- Analytically minded with great problem-solving skills
- Experience in leading, managing, developing and motivating a team
- Strong IT and MS Excel skills
- An ability to communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders at varying levels both externally and internally
