  • Salary: £27,000 to £30,000, dependent on experience.
    • Note: £30,000 is typically reserved for experienced mortgage and protection advisers.
  • OTE: First-year earnings around £35,000, with uncapped future bonus potential up to an OTE of £60,000.

A Day in the Life

As a First Charge Mortgage Adviser, you’ll deliver outstanding service to our valued customers, working alongside industry professionals to build strong client relationships and empower them financially.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with the New Business team to work with qualified leads.
  • Provide tailored advice by navigating customers’ financial needs and recommending suitable products.
  • Stay informed on lender criteria and FCA compliance requirements.
  • Conduct impactful sales calls and present product-knowledge-based recommendations.
  • Collaborate with lenders and Case Management teams to efficiently drive cases to completion.
  • Proactively follow up on leads and cases to ensure timely updates.
  • Consistently achieve targets with attention to detail and compliance.

Role Requirements

Essential

  • Full CeMAP qualification (1, 2, and 3).
  • Proven experience in successfully selling mortgage products.
  • Previous outbound sales experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong skills in objection handling, deal closing, and working towards sales targets.
  • Ability to adapt to training and industry changes quickly.
  • Excellent compliance management and attention to detail.

Desirable

  • Current or recent experience in a regulated finance company.
  • Experience in secured finance or mortgage advising.
  • Broking or lending experience in the mortgage market.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and bespoke software.
  • Experience working both independently and in a team.
