Purchase Ledger Clerk | £26,000- £30,000 | Blackburn| High Growth SME | 25 Days plus Bank Holidays
Axon Moore is working in an exclusive partnership with a high-growth SME in Blackburn who have had an excellent period of trading over the past 12 months and are searching for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk who is looking to take ownership for the Accounts Payable processes and add value to the business.
A generous starting salary is on offer up to £30,000 and there is scope to become involved with wider areas of the accounts team. The team is friendly and down to earth which is well suited to a chatty and personable candidate. The business also boasts a great working culture.
You are required to have at least one years’ previous experience within accounts payable and also have good working knowledge of Excel.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Accurately processing and maintaining supplier invoices
- Match purchase orders to invoices, investigating and resolving discrepancies
- Ensuring supplier payments are made within agreed terms, preparing payment runs
- Reconciling supplier statements and maintaining up-to-date records.
- Dealing with supplier queries
- Assist in month-end closing activities, including reporting and reconciliations.
- Any other finance related transactional postings
- 1 years’ experience within a finance role
- An ability to meet deadlines and efficiently prioritise workload
- Good working knowledge of Excel
- Positive and can-do attitude with an enthusiastic approach to work
- An ability to work collaboratively and independently
- Excellent attention to detail
- Great written and verbal communication
