Axon Moore is working in an exclusive partnership with an exciting SME in Chorley who are searching for an experienced Part-time Accounts Assistant who is looking to take ownership of transactional duties and add value to the business.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a close knit team. This is a newly created position due to changes within the business. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for flexible/reduced hours! They are looking for someone who is committed to work between 20-30 hours per week.
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of accounting processes and have at least 1-2 years’ experience within a similar finance based role.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records including transactions, terms and customer information
- Recording day to day financial transactions- ensuring invoices are posted correctly
- Maintaining and solving finance related queries
- Liaising with other departments to ensure accurate information is maintained
- Generating regular financial reports
- Assisting with customer account reviews
- Co-ordinating with the finance team to ensure that deadlines are met
- Providing administrative support to the finance team and supporting with audits
- Ensuring compliance with financial information
- Ad hoc duties
Required Skills and Experience:
- 1 years’ experience within a finance role
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
- Adaptable and flexible
- Positive can-do attitude with an enthusiastic approach
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Team player with ability to work independently
- Clear, confident telephone manner
