About the Company:
Axon Moore are delighted to be working with a very well-established business based in Bury to appoint a Management Accountant, which is a key role within the finance team. You will be responsible for the management accounts for the UK business, so this is a fantastic opportunity for someone driven and enthusiastic to develop and progress in the role.
We are looking for a Management Accountant with experience in month-end and producing management accounts, ideally part-qualified ACCA/CIMA. You’ll work closely with the Finance Manager and Head of Finance and will have the opportunity to be involved in business partnering and adding value through enhancements to reporting and data management.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary £35,000 - £40,000 DOE, hybrid working 3 days in the office, 2 from home, 25 days holiday plus banks, 5% matched pension, Medicash, free parking, flexibility on working hours.

What we are looking for you to do/key responsibilities:
- Prepare the monthly management accounts according to schedule.
- Completion of accruals & prepayments, income recognition, stock transactions and job costing posting.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Maintain the fixed asset register, depreciation.
- Assist with the annual budgeting/forecasting process.
- Analyse and comment on budget and forecast variances and liaise with various departments to understand these.
- Review current reporting processes and look to improve or change to improve efficiencies.
- Assist with the external audit according to schedule and contribute to the year-end statutory accounts submission.
- Support with ad-hoc projects, driving improvements and efficiencies throughout the finance function.
- Other ad-hoc work as required by the Head of Finance.
- Experience in a similar role in a fast paced environment.
- AAT qualified or CIMA/ACCA part-qualified and looking to progress your studies.
- Intermediate level of competency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience using Navision/Business Central would be beneficial.
- Strong organisational skills to meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Great communicator both written and verbally and able to forge strong relationships.
- Able to work with and manage changing workloads and schedules in line with current priorities.
