Axon Moore are delighted to be working with a longstanding client based in Manchester City Centre to appoint a Management Accountant, which is a key role in their finance team. They are a multi-award winning business who have grown rapidly so far and have recently received PE backing in order to grow significantly further.
We are looking for an experienced, nearly-qualified Management Accountant to lead the production of the management accounts across 2 business entities who will also look after the management and mentorship of 1 junior staff member. Salary and Benefits:

Key responsibilities:
- Produce monthly management accounts for 2 trading entities
- Produce the group consolidated pack for all entities
- Manage balance sheets for all entities including intercompany balances
- Reporting revenue as per FRS102 and reconciling against cash received
- Manage tangible and intangible assets alongside the assistant management accountant
- Manage the assistant accountant including having regular 1 to 1s
- Managing the quarterly VAT return
- Preparing the quarterly FCA submissions
- Assist with audit
- Payment of quarterly corporation tax and interest
- Consider and implement process improvements, with a strong focus on compliance with relevant accounting standards
- Business partnering with internal and external stakeholders
- ACCA/CIMA Qualified or finalist
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and vlookups
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to prioritise workloads and achieve tight deadlines working in a high pressure environment
- Understanding of basic accounting principles, gained through experience or qualifications
- Able to work effectively as part of a high-performing team
