Management Accountant

Axon Moore are partnering with an excellent business in Wigan to recruit a new Management Accountant due to an internal promotion.

The candidate will need an acute attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills and the desire and ability to work to tight reporting deadlines, coupled with a confident, hardworking approach.

Responsibilities include:

• Production of month end accounts
• Preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Month end reporting
• Business partnering across the wider finance department
• Variance analysis
• Weekly flash reporting
• Ad hoc project work, including ongoing improvements and efficiencies  

The ideal candidate:

• Part qualified/ finalist or QBE (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
• Strong month end exposure
• Strong Excel skills are essential, including: SumIf, VLookup, Pivot Tables, Power Pivot etc
• Pro-active in nature and have a willingness to be hands on
