Axon Moore are searching for a Financial Controller for an ambitious SME based in North Leeds.
The business has made a number of significant capital investments in recent years and they are now reaping the rewards with both strong financial and profit projections for the near future.
The new Financial Controller will support the Finance Director across a number of key areas that offer opportunities to add value and play a key role in the future direction of the business.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Maintain robust control of costs whilst working with commercial functions to maximise profit
- Develop strong costing systems and models that run throughout the business
- Oversee the monthly management reporting schedule and reducing reporting timetable where possible
- Develop an in-depth knowledge and analysis of the key drivers of the business, and making performance based recommendations
- Manage the external audit process as well as manage a number of third party external relationships
The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following skills and experience:
- Qualified accountant with experience in an SME environment (ideally manufacturing)
- Willing to manage hands-on tasks as well as possessing the gravitas and expertise to provide strategic direction to the Board
- Strong experience of cost control and costing metrics
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + Bonus & Package
