Axon Moore are now recruiting for an Assistant Finance Manager to join a highly successful group based in South Leeds, in a newly created role.
The business are UK market leader with an outstanding reputation in their market. They operate across a network of sites across the country, with Leeds as their Head Office.
They are now looking to hire an Assistant Finance Manager, who will work as part of the team as the number 2 to the FD. The role will be varied and hands on, and support the Finance Director with the day to day running of the management accounts and other duties.
The role would be ideally suited to a hands on management accountant who enjoys a varied role within a fast paced and busy working environment!

They key duties of the role will include:
- Preparation of the monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow
- Preparation of monthly/quarterly balance sheet reconciliations, investigating reconciling differences
- Completion of VAT return and related reporting
- Assisting with all other statutory reporting requirements, including liaison with all stakeholders
- Providing support to the FD in working with other areas of the business to develop and deliver timely analysis of data and commercial insight to support and drive business decision making, particularly in relation to commercial reporting
- Develop financial models and analysis to support strategic initiatives
- Cash flow analysis and modelling
- Group strategic tax planning
The successful candidate will:
- Be ACCA/CIMA part or newly qualified, or be qualified by experience - Essential
- Have a minimum of 3 years experience within a similar relevant role - Essential
- Have a good knowledge of MS excel and the ability to develop reports/detailed analysis - Essential
- Be commercially focused with the ability to develop processes and strive for continuous improvement - Essential
