Accounts Assistant / Salford / Hybrid / up to £28,000
Job Overview:
Axon Moore are partnering with a PE Backed, medium sized retail business. They are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join the team. This role will report to the Management Accountant and Financial Controller. The finance function is small which gives the opportunity to take on more duties. This role is perfect for candidates who currently have transactional experience and want to take on more duties. This Accounts Assistant role will cover all transactional duties and will evolve over time.
Salary: £25,000-£28,000
Benefits: Hybrid working, Health Insurance, Bar on site.
Location: Salford
Main Duties:
• Maintain the purchase ledger, processing incoming invoices and cash payments reconciling balances in Sage to supplier statements.
• Posting cash on sales ledger and following up on shortages and deductions from customers.
• Assist with SL queries when sync with Shopify falls over.
• Assist with cash posting from IGF account.
• Post refunds to customers from Paypal and Stripe.
• Dealing with all the accounts emails and queries ensuring all costs are approved prior to processing.
• Process company credit cards monthly, chasing receipts and processing on Sage.
• Analysing large data dumps relating to kickstarter cash receipts.
• Assisting with quarterly Royalty reporting in accordance with licence agreements.
• Adhere to the company's financial policies and procedures.
• Answer question and provide assistance to stakeholders, customers, and clients as needed.
• Assist the team in creating financial reports on a regular basis.
• Assist with developing new reports within Sage and excel and Nectari.
Person Specification:
• Strong excel skills – Pivot tables and Vlookups.
• Purchase Ledger experience desirable.
• AAT Level 3 qualification.
• Willing to get stuck in and take on a wide range of duties.
• Personable and uses own initiative.
