The Business
Regatta is an English, family owned outdoor and leisure clothing company which has been established in Manchester since 1981. Their product line includes waterproof and breathable jackets, fleeces, trousers, footwear and camping equipment for men, women and children. Due to its impressive international growth, Regatta has been awarded the Queen's Award for Enterprise: International Trade on two occasions (2012 and 2013). Axon Moore have been working as Regatta's recruitment partner of choice since July 2019.
Background to Exercise
Regatta operate a Finance Shared Service centre in Urmston, Greater Manchester and have been undergoing Finance Transformation and a new system implementation over the last few years. Axon Moore have recruited a handful of interims to cover specific projects, as well as permanent staff mainly due to business growth.
Our Response
In our initial briefing key responsibilities were identified and outline for each individual role. From there a market mapping exercise began for some of the higher level roles. The next stage was to undertake extensive searches using our existing candidate database, extensive network of candidates, job boards and LinkedIn contacts.
We mapped out the recruitment processes and spoke to individual line managers to manage timelines before creating a series of high calibre shortlists to cover all the roles.
Once we had produced shortlists for each individual role, we then had a consultation meeting with each relevant line manager to review candidates, organise 1st stage interviews and then prepare the candidates for interview. Detailed feedback was taken from all parties and fed back to the client.
As usual, candidates successfully advancing to the 2nd stage interview were required to do a test set by Regatta. Following this, the successful candidate for each role reached offer stage, which was managed carefully by Axon Moore. We undertook this robust recruitment process for all of Regatta's roles, which resulted in over 15 successful appointments.
Outcome:
From July 2019 to January 2022, Regatta have hired over 15 high calibre individuals with help from us at Axon Moore. Such is the strength of our relationship, several of these recruitment processes were exclusive to us at Axon Moore.
