The Business
APEM began life as a small niche consultancy in 1987. Over three decades, APEM has grown into a world class global environmental consultancy, providing a comprehensive range of integrated niche services for clients across Europe, the US, Australia, and Asia. APEM has offices throughout the UK, Ireland and the United States.
Background to Exercise
Due to fast growth and a number of acquisitions, APEM needed to increase the headcount within the finance department. However, they were finding the process of identifying the right people difficult even though they had another agency exclusively recruiting for them. Due to the difficulty of finding the right candidates, Axon Moore were asked to support the recruitment process. At the time of briefing, it was highlighted that suitable candidates needed to be found as soon as possible, so it the process was a fast one.
Our Response
Client meetings were immediately booked in with two hiring managers. Key responsibilities were identified, timelines were agreed and hiring managers made aware of what we needed from them.
Our team at Axon Moore then undertook an extensive search of our database, across job boards and LinkedIn. We capitalised on colleague referrals as well as sending a targeted e-mailer to our large database of suitable candidates. Within 48 hours we had identified, met and booked in interviews for as many as six candidates.
Within hours of receiving our detailed candidate shortlist, APEM were able to respond quickly and we were able to get the six candidates interviewed, offered and accepted within just couple of days. It was an extremely fast process but also one which was highly successful.
Outcome
As a result of our swift recruitment process, APEM recruited two outstanding individuals who were able to add value to the company immediately. Due to the success of the recruitment process and the quality of candidates, APEM have continued to use Axon Moore's services and we have placed another four permanent candidates and a number of interim candidates too. We have built a fantastic relationship with hiring managers and our understanding of APEM's business needs has deepened. We are now ideally placed to quickly identify and attract the right candidates whenever called upon us and we are equally delighted to help.
