Axon Moore are once again working with a Finance Director who has successfully developed talent throughout his career and is now looking for a Finance Manager to join a start-up environment as they pursue an exciting period of M&A activity.
Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will encompass all aspects of finance, gain exposure to M&A activity, and become the key point of contact, and Finance Business Partner with the recently acquired organisations.

Salary: £55,000+£5,000 bonus
Location: South MCR with hybrid working (3 to 4 days in the office)
Main Duties:
- Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts for each business unit.
- Consolidate subsidiary entities and calculate consolidations.
- Ensure timely submission of statutory accounts in compliance with UK GAAP.
- Lead the monthly financial close process.
- Conduct variance analysis against budgets and provide actionable insight.
- Maintain a strong general ledger structure.
- Develop and oversee annual budget and rolling financial forecasts.
- Collaborate with the operational team to identify cost saving opportunities.
- Monitor and report on KPI’s, cashflow and working capital.
- Support the CFO in strategic planning, investment decision and acquisitions.
- Oversee cash flow forecasting.
- Manage banking relationships ensuring compliance with funding requirements.
- Ensure effective credit control and debtor management.
Person Specification:
- CIMA, ACCA or ACA Qualified Accountant.
- Experience working in a multi-entity business is ideal
- Excellent experience of development processes and controls.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver to deadlines.
- Strong problem solving.
- Advanced IT skills.
- Experience working in e-commerce is advantageous.
