Axon Moore is pleased to be partnering with an established South Yorkshire company in the Manufacturing sector to search for an experienced Accountant to join their team, with a focus on site & cost accounting. This is an opportunity to have autonomy within a Finance department and utilise your previous experience to play a pivotal role within this company alongside having the opportunity to work closely with an experienced Finance Director.
This role will have a strong focus on continuous improvements and driving business performance. Candidates with strong manufacturing experience in the capacity of a site or cost accountant would be ideally suited to this position. Candidates who are Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), Part Qualified and QBE will be considered for this position.

The Responsibilities:
- Monthly consolidation of Group Management Accounts pack – Accounts prepared by Company Accountants.
- Monthly Reconciliations.
- Customer Profitability Analysis
- Departmental Cost Analysis.
- Continuous improvement of costing model / KPI metrics.
- Provide insightful financial analysis.
- Competitor Analysis & benchmarking.
- Support with Annual R&D Tax Calculation.
- Business Partner Operational teams to understand commercials & drive informed decision making.
- Support Annual External Audit.
- Previous experience in a Manufacturing company – essential
- Qualified by Experience or Part Qualified / Qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) – essential.
- Previous experience as a Site or Costing Accountant (or similar) – essential.
- Ability to work flexibly and provide comprehensive financial insight to the wider company – essential.
- Strong communicator
- Advanced Excel
- A salary of £50,000 DOE
