Finance Director - West Yorkshire

Axon Moore are partnering with a fast paced, Private Equity backed business in their search for a Finance Director.

The business is based in West Yorkshire and the core activities are aligned to retail and the distribution of products to a varied client base comprising both B2B and B2C customers.

With a turnover of ca. £20m, the business has ambitious plans for growth and needs a strategically focused Finance Director to spearhead this growth from a finance perspective, and support the board with its decision making.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the provision of timely Management Information and insight to the board and investors
• Manage a range of third party stakeholders including PE investors, banks, insurers etc
• Work with Sales and Operations to appraise the commercial agreements the business holds from a finance perspective and suggest recommendations to drive profitability
• Lead a finance team who run the day to day financial processes and transactions, as well as monthly and annual reporting, VAT, import/export implications, cash management etc
• Assessing potential growth opportunities and M&A
• Take ownership of the company cash position and working capital, establishing sound process and practices to manage effectively

 
Candidates for this role would need to meet the following requirements:

• Qualified Accountant, preferably with experience in a similar, products related sector (retail, manufacturing, FMCG, distribution etc)
• Experience within a PE backed business as an FD or equivalent would be highly desirable
